[ Executive Order No. 878, May 4, 2010 ]

REPEALING EXECUTIVE ORDER NOS. 787 AND 842, SERIES OF 2009, DESIGNATING THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT-INTERNAL AUDIT OFFICE (OP-IAO) AND THE DEPUTY EXECUTIVE SECRETARY FOR LEGAL AFFAIRS (DESLA), RESPECTIVELY, AS ADDITIONAL MEMBERS OF THE PRESIDENTIAL ANTI-GRAFT COMMISSION (PAGC)

WHEREAS, the Presidential Anti-Graft Commission (PAGC) was created pursuant to Executive Order No. 12, Series of 2001, as amended, under the Office of the President to reinforce the governments campaign against graft and corruption at all levels of the bureaucracy;

WHEREAS, Executive Order No. 787, Series of 2009, designated the Head of the Office of the President-Internal Audit Office (OP-IAO) as an ex-officio member of PAGC;

WHEREAS, Executive Order No. 842, Series of 2009, also included the Deputy Executive Secretary for Legal Affairs (DESLA) of the Office of the President as ex-officio Commissioner of PAGC, amending for this purpose Section 2 of Executive Order No. 12; and

WHEREAS, the President, pursuant to Section 31, Chapter 10, Book III of Executive Order No. 292, otherwise known as the Administrative Code of 1987, is vested with continuing authority to reorganize the Office of the President and the agencies under her administrative control and/or supervision;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order:

Section 1. Executive Order Nos. 787 and 842, Series of 2009, are hereby repealed.1aшphi1

Section 2. All Executive Orders, rules, regulations and other issuances or parts thereof which are inconsistent with the provisions of this Executive Order are hereby repealed, amended or otherwise modified accordingly.

Section 3. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.

DONE in the City of Manila, this 4th day of May, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Ten.
