[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 75, March 04, 2002 ]
PROVIDING FOR THE CREATION OF A BOARD OF ADVISORS FOR THE LAGUNA LAKE DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the Laguna Lake Development Authority was created by virtue of Republic Act No. 4850, as amended by Presidential Decree No. 813 dated October 17, 1975, to carry out and effect the national policy to promote and accelerate the development and balanced growth of the Laguna Lake area and the surrounding provinces, cities and towns, within the context of the national and regional plans and policies for social and economic development and to carry out the development of the Laguna Lake region with due regard and adequate provisions for environmental management and control, preservation of the quality of human life and ecological systems, and the prevention of undue ecological disturbances, deterioration and pollution;
WHEREAS, there is a need to create a Board of Advisors for the Laguna Lake Development Authority which shall provide wider consultation for the Board of Directors;
WHEREAS, under Section 31, Chapter 10, Title III, Book III of the Administrative Code of 1987, the President has the continuing authority to reorganize the administrative structure of the Office of the President.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO , President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order:
Section 1. There is hereby created a Board of Advisors for the Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA) which shall be composed of three (3) representatives of the fisherfolk from the Laguna Lake area to be appointed by the President.
Section 2. The Board of Advisors shall provide advice to the Board of Directors of the LLDA and shall attend all meetings of the Board of Directors.
Section 3. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately upon approval.1aшphi1
