EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 68 November 21, 1986

MODIFYING PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 198, AS AMENDED

WHEREAS, the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) was created by virtue of Presidential Decree No. 198, as amended;

WHEREAS, Section 58 of Presidential Decree No. 198, as amended, provides for a General Manager of the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) while Section 23 of the said Decree likewise provides for a general manager for a local water district;

WHEREAS, there is a need to distinguish the General Manager of the Utilities Administration (LWUA) from the general managers of the various local water districts by changing the designation of the General Manager of the Utilities Administration (LWUA);

WHEREAS, as a consequence, the title of the next in rank of the General Manager of the Utilities Administration (LWUA) should be similarly changed;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, do hereby order:

Sec. 1. Section 58 of Chapter 5, Title III of Presidential Decree No. 198, as amended, is hereby modified to the extent that the title of the head of the Utilities Administration (LWUA) is changed from General Manager to Administrator and the officer(s) next in rank shall be designated as Deputy Administrator(s).

Sec. 2. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.
