MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 340, September 16, 1971 ] PROHIBITING THE CARRYING OF FIREARMS OUTSIDE RESIDENCE In the interest of peace and order, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested upon me by law, do hereby prohibit the carrying of firearms outside residence, except by those who are authorized to carry or who may be issued permit to carry as provided in Executive Order No. 56 dated December 29, 1966, as amended by Executive Order No. 231 dated May 7, 1970. Violation of this order shall be ground for confiscation of the firearm.
