[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 275, November 26, 1970 ]

MODIFYING THE RATES OF IMPORT DUTY ON CERTAIN IMPORTED ARTICLES AS PROVIDED UNDER REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED NINETEEN HUNDRED THIRTY-SEVEN, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE TARIFF AND CUSTOMS CODE OF THE PHILIPPINES, AS AMENDED

Pursuant to the powers vested in me by Section 4-01 of Republic Act Numbered Nineteen Hundred Thirty-Seven, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby direct and order:

Section 1. The articles specifically listed hereunder as classified under Section 401 of Republic Act Numbered Nineteen Hundred Thirty-Seven shall pay the following rates of import duty:

27.09 Petroleum and shale oils,crude ad val.15%
27.10 Petroleum and shale oils, other than crude; preparations not otherwise provided for, containing not less than 70 per cent by weight of petroleum or shale oils, these oils “being the basic constituents of the preparations:
A. Light oils (e.g., petroleum other, gasoline, white spirit) ad val. 35%
B. Medium oils (e.g., kerosene and tractor fuel) ad val.15%
C. Heavy oils,(lubricating oils, paraffin liquid or white oils) ad val 15%

Section 2. After the expiration of thirty (30) days from the issuance of this Order, all the above-described articles entered or withdrawn from warehouses, in the Philippines, for consumption shall he subject to the rates of import duty herein prescribed.

Section 3. Any unwarranted increase in prices of local products benefited by these tariff changes may he sufficient ground for the revocation of such tariff changes.1âшphi1
