[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 266, October 12, 1970 ]

AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 18 DATED SEPTEMBER 16, 1946, ENTITLED “ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATION AND OPERATION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND OF THE FOREIGN SERVICE OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES AND FIXING THE EMOLUMENTS, PRIVILEGES AND ALLOWANCES OF THE OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES THEREOF”

The last sentence of paragraph 29 of Executive Order No. 18 dated September 16, 1946, entitled “ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATION AND OPERATION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND OF THE FOREIGN SERVICE OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES AND FIXING THE EMOLUMENTS, PRIVILEGES AND ALLOWANCES OF THE OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES THEREOF” is hereby amended to read as follows:

“x x x No uniform shall be prescribed for or worn by any member of the personnel of the Department of Foreign Affairs or the Foreign Service other than the one to which he is entitled as an active or reserve member of the armed or protective forces of the Republic of the Philippines, or those which the Secretary of Foreign Affairs may prescribe for ceremonial or other occasions, or for the Department’s security guards, drivers, messengers, janitors, and other personnel.”

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
