[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 247, July 24, 1970 ]
AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 53, DATED OCTOBER 3, 1963, ENTITLED “ABOLISHING THE JUAN LUNA CENTENNIAL COMMISSION.”
By virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby amend Executive Order No. 53, dated October 3, 1963, entitled “Abolishing the Juan Luna Centennial Commission”, particularly the second paragraph thereof, to read:
“All the functions, property, equipment, records and unexpended balance of the funds of the Commission shall be transferred to the National Museum; Provided, that the unexpended funds shall be used for the purchase of paintings, documents and other relics of Juan Luna, and the construction of galleries and storerooms for the preservation thereof.”
