CLASSIFYING MUNICIPAL DISTRICT IN THE PHILIPPINES AND DECLARING CERTAIN MUNICIPAL DISTRICTS AS MUNICIPALITIES AND CERTAIN MUNICIPALITIES AS FIRST CLASS MUNICIPAL DISTRICTS

Pursuant to the provisions or Section twenty-six hundred and thirty of the Revised Administrative Code, as amended by Section one of Republic Act Numbered fifteen hundred end fifteen, the following municipal districts are hereby classified, as herein indicated, in accordance with the schedule provided in said section one of Republic Act Numbered fifteen hundred and fifteen, on the basis of their average annual revenues for the four fiscal years Nineteen hundred and sixty-one to Nineteen hundred and sixty-four, s.9 certified by the General Auditing Office, effective as of July 1, 1964:

The following municipal districts which have not as yet existed for four years as of June 30, 1964, are hereby given their tentative classification, as indicated herein below, effective as of the dates of their corporate existence on the basis of their annual revenues during the fiscal year following their organization:

Junalig 1st
ROBLON
San Jose (Carabao Island) 1st

By operation of the provisions of Section two of Republic Act Numbered fifteen hundred and fifteen, the following municipal districts, each having realized an average annual revenues of more than four thousand pesos during the four consecutive fiscal years ended June 30, 1964, are hereby declared and considered as fifth class (equivalent to seventh class pursuant to Republic Act No. 2368) municipalities effective as of July 1, 1964:

Kapai
Madalum
NUEVA VIZCAYA
Santa Fe
QUEZON
Panukulan

and the following seventh class (formerly fifth class) municipality having failed to realize an average annual revenues of four thousand pesos during the four, consecutive fiscal years ended Juno 30, 1964, are ipso facto considered as first class municipal districts, effective as of July 1, 1964 and shall thereafter be governed by the provisions of Article six, Chapter sixty-four of the Revised Administrative Code, as amended:

The present elective municipal district and municipal officials shall continue as such officials of the newly declared municipalities and municipal districts, respectively, until their successors shall have been elected during the next general elections for local officials and shall have qualified.
