AMENDING PARAGRAPH NUMBER SEVEN OF EXECUTIVE ORDER NUMBER ONE, DATED JULY FOURTH NINETEEN HUNDRED AND FORTY-SIX, ENTITLED “PRESCRIBING RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE GRANTING AND ISSUING OF PASSPORTS.”

By virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby amend paragraph seven of Executive Order Number One dated July 4, 1946, so as to read as follows:

If such application is in order, a passport must be issued unless there is a pending criminal case against the applicant in a court of component jurisdiction in which case the issuance may be denied. If, however, the applicant is able to obtain the approval of such component court for his travel abroad, then a passport must be issued as if no criminal case were lodged against him.”
