CREATING THE PEACE AND ORDER COUNCIL
By virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby create a Peace and Order Council to coordinate the overall campaign against crime, composed of the following:

A representative of the publishing group |

A representative of the Catholic group |

A representative of the Protestant group |

A representative of the Iglesia ni Cristo |

A representative of the Civic Assembly of Women |

Similar councils on provincial and city levels are likewise created, composed of the Provincial Governor and the City Mayor, as the case may be, as Chairman and representatives of the publishing, Catholic, Protestant and Iglesia ni Cristo groups and a leading civic association as members. In predominantly Muslim areas, a representative of that faith shall be included in the council.
The Provincial Governor is authorized to organize like councils in the various municipalities of his province, with membership along the same pattern provided in provincial and city councils.1a⍵⍴h!1
The councils herein created are hereby authorized to call upon any department, bureau, office, agency or instrumentality of the government for such assistance as they may need in the discharge of their functions.
