AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 524 DATED AUGUST 12, 1952, ENTITLED “REQUIRING ALL DEPARTMENTS, BUREAUS, OFFICES, AGENCIES, INSTRUMENTALITIES AND POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS OF THE GOVERNMENT, INCLUDING THE CORPORATIONS OWNED AND CONTROLLED BY THE GOVERNMENT, THE ARMED FORCES, GOVERNMENT HOSPITALS, AND PUBLIC EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS TO BUY FROM THE TEXTILE MILLS OF THE NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMPANY, WHENEVER AVAILABLE, ALL THEIR REQUIREMENTS FOR CLOTHING MATERIALS.”
In order to develop the ramie industry and to make available to government users a more durable clothing material at prices comparable to those of cotton cloth, I, RAMON MAGSAYSAY, President of the Philippines, do hereby amend Executive Order No. 524 dated August 12, 1952, by adding thereto a new paragraph to read as follows:
“5. This Order shall not apply to requisitions for ramie materials, in which case such requisitions shall be filed with the Agricultural Credit and Cooperative Financing Administration (ACCFA) without coursing the same through the National Development Company.”
