[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 520, August 04, 1952 ]
AMENDING PARAGRAPH 22 OF EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 303, DATED SEPTEMBER 26, 1940.
WHEREAS, the cost of textbooks and supplies for use in colleges and universities here and abroad has greatly increased since the liberation; and
WHEREAS, the amount of fifty dollars ($50) previously granted for the purpose to Philippine Government pensionados abroad is not sufficient;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, ELPIDIO QURINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby amend paragraph 22 of Executive Order No. 303, dated September 25, 1940, so as to read as follows:
“22. Tuition and matriculation, books, and supplies.- Pensionados shall be entitled to tuition and matriculation fees and textbooks and supplies that are necessary for their studies. The amount to be granted for books and supplies should not exceed one hundred dollars ($100) per year.”
