ORGANIZING A PORTION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF DIGOS, DAVAO, INTO AN INDEPENDENT MUNICIPALITY UNDER THE NAME OF BANSALAN.
Upon the recommendation of the Provincial Board of Davao and pursuant to the provisions of section 68 of the Revised Administrative Code, there is hereby created in the Province of Davao a municipality to be known as the municipality of Bansalan, which shall consist of the western portion of the municipality of Digos, more particularly the barrios of Anonang, Bala, Barayong, Blocon, Dolo, Iman, Kialeg, Marber (Km. 83), Marber Interior, Matanao (Visayas), Miral, which shall be the seat of government, Sinawilan, Linawan and the sitios of Balatucan, Darapuay, Dalawinon, Escalinan, Camanga, Canapulo, Kibuaya, Lantori, Managa, Manga, Pananag, Sacub (Upper), Sacub (Lower), Sinaragan, Saputan, Tacul, Tuwac, Tinontufigan, Kinoscusan and Daig.
The municipality of Digos shall have its present territory minus the portion thereof included in the municipality of Bansalan.
The municipality of Bansalan shall be organized and begin to exist upon certification by the provincial treasurer that the new municipality possesses the financial capacity to pay its officials and employees the minimum wages and salaries in accordance with the provisions of Republic Act No. 602 and upon the appointment and qualification of the mayor, vice-mayor and a majority of the councilors thereof.
