[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 330, July 01, 1950 ]
CREATING THE NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL
Pursuant to the powers vested in me by law, I, ELPIDIO QUIRINO, President of the Philippines do hereby create a National Security Council, which shall be composed of the President, the Vice-President, the President of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Head of each Executive Department, the Chairman of the Committee on the Army, Navy and Military Pensions of the Senate, the Chairman of the National Defense Committee of the House of Representatives, Senator Eulogio Rodriguez, Congressman Arturo Tolentino, the Commanding General of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and the Chairman of the Philippine Veterans Board. Lt. Colonel Alfonzo Arellano shall serve as Secretary of the Council.
The Council shall advise the President on matters of national defense and shall make recommendations on such other subjects as the President may from time to time submit for study and consideration.
This Order supersedes Executive Order No. 40, dated January 13, 1947.
