[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 313, May 01, 1950 ]
REGULATING THE ISSUANCE OF BUILDING PERMITS TO AMERICAN NATIONALS OR ASSOCIATIONS FOR THE ERECTION OF WAR MEMORIALS OR MONUMENTS IN THE PHILIPPINES
By virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, ELPIDIO QUIRINO, President of the Philippines, do hereby order that no building permit for the erection of any war memorial or monument in any place in the Philippines shall be issued in favor of any American national or association without the previous recommendation of the American Battle Monuments Commission of the United States Government. Any memorial or monument constructed in violation of this order shall be demolished or remodelled at the expense of the builder in accordance with the order of the said commission.
