[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 47, March 17, 1947 ]
AMENDING SECTION 3 OF EXECUTIVE ORDER No. 3, DATED JULY 10, 1946 , ENTITLED “ON THE CONTROL OF EXPORTS FROM THE PHILIPPINES ”.
By virtue of the powers vested in me by law and in order to fulfill the commitments of the Republic of the Philippines under the International Emergency Food Council and the agreement between the Republic of the Philippines and the United States of America on surplus war property, I, MANUEL ROXAS, President of the Philippines, do hereby amend Section 3 of Executive Order No. 3, dated 10 July 1946, so as to read as follows:
“Section 3. There is hereby granted a general license for, the purpose of Commonwealth Act No. 728 covering expectations to the United States of America of whatever products, merchandise, articles, materials, and supplies, whether of prohibited exportation or not; and no specific license shall be required to cover each individual shipment: Provided, That such shipment shall be under a through bill of lading from the Philippines to the United States of America: Provided, further, That an export license on all shipments to the United States of America of copra and of properties transferred to the Republic of the Philippines under the agreement between the Republic and the Government of the United States of America, dated 11 September 1946, shall be required.
Done in the City of Manila , this 17th day of March, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and forty-seven, and of the Independence of the Philippines , the first.
