[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 42, June 13, 1936 ]
TRANSFERRING THE EXECUTIVE SUPERVISION OVER OFFICES OF PROVINCIAL, CITY, AND MUNICIPAL TREASURERS FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR TO THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE
WHEREAS, by virtue of the provisions of Commonwealth Act Numbered Five, a Government Survey Board has been created for the purpose of recommending to the President needed reforms in the present organization of the Government; and
WHEREAS, the said Government Survey Board has recommended that the offices of provincial, city, and municipal treasurers be placed under the general administrative supervision of the Secretary of Finance;
NOW, THEREFORE, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution and existing laws and in pursuance of the provisions of Commonwealth Act Numbered Five, it is hereby directed that the general administrative supervision heretofore exercised by the Secretary of the Interior over the offices of provincial, city, and municipal treasurers be and prepare and promulgate such regulations as may be necessary for the proper administration of their offices, without prejudice to the jurisdiction vested in the Bureau of Audits over all matters of accounts and accounting.
