[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 12, January 14, 1936 ]
RESERVE OF 5 PER CENT OF THE APPROPRIATIONS AUTHORIZED FOR THE YEAR 1936
WHEREAS it has been reported by the Secretary of Finance that in revising the budget for the current year nineteen hundred and thirty-six, in order to include the supplemental appropriations authorized by the various Commonwealth Acts recently enacted, the general appropriations authorized under Act Numbered Four thousand two hundred and thirty-one amounting to forty-three million two hundred four thousand three hundred fourteen pesos and ten centavos was reduced by an amount corresponding to a reserve of five per cent of the authorized appropriations, excluding the appropriations exempted from the reserve as provided for in said Act;
WHEREAS it is necessary to make a reserve of five per cent of the appropriation in order that the amount needed to cover the total authorized ordinary expenditures for this year will not be in excess of the total estimated regular income during the year;
NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the provisions of section seven of Act Numbered Four thousand one hundred and eighty-seven, General Appropriation Act for nineteen hundred and thirty-five, which was amended and made applicable for the year nineteen hundred and thirty-one and Commonwealth Act Numbered Nineteen, a reduction of five per cent of the appropriations authorized in said Acts shall be made from the amounts available for all departments, bureaus, and offices of the Insular Government, unless otherwise specifically exempted in said Acts.1âшphi1
