MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 166, December 20, 2006 ] DIRECTING THE NATIONAL HISTORICAL INSTITUTE TO ORGANIZE THE OBSERVANCE OF THE 110TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE MARTYRDOM OF DR. JOSE RIZAL ON DECEMBER 30, 2006 WHEREAS, the entire country will be commemorating the 110th Anniversary of the death of our national hero Dr. Jose Rizal come December 30, 2006; WHEREAS, the observance of this momentous occasion is but appropriate, and the National Historical Institute is the agency best fit to organize activities related thereto.ℒαwρhi৷ NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the power vested in me by law, do hereby direct the National Historical Institute (NHI) to organize the observance of the 110th Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Dr. Jose Rizal on December 30, 2006. The Department of Budget and Management is hereby authorized to release the amount of ONE MILLION PESOS (P1,000,000.00) chargeable against the President’s Contingent Fund for FY 2006 and from other savings to defray the expenses for the Year 2006 activities commemorating the heroic martyrdom of Dr. Rizal. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
