DESIGNATING SOLICITOR GENERAL ANTONIO BARREDO TO INVESTIGATE THE ADMINISTRATIVE CHARGES AGAINST CHIEF OF POLICE MONEBRIO ABELLANA OF DAVAO CITY
By virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby designate Solicitor General Antonio Barredo to investigate the administrative charges filed against Chief of Police Monebrio Abellana of Davao City for omission, dereliction of duty and immorality by Atty. Jose V. Diaz of said city.£A⩊phi£
Solicitor General Barredo is hereby granted all the powers of an investigator under Sections 71 and 580 of the Revised Administrative Code, including the power to summon witnesses, administer oaths, and take testimony or evidence relevant to the investigation. He is also authorized to call upon any department, bureau, office, agency or instrumentality of the Government for such assistance or information as he may require in the performance of his functions, and for this purpose, he shall have access to, and the right to examine any books, documents, papers or records thereof.
He shall submit his report and recommendation within the shortest time possible.
Done in the City of Manila, this 11th day of August, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-six.
