[ MUSLIM MINDANAO AUTONOMY ACT NO. 282]

Begun and held in Cotabato City, on Monday, the twenty-sixth day of October, two thousand and eight.

 

 

AN ACT AMENDING MUSLIM MINDANAO AUTONOMY ACT NUMBERED ONE HUNDRED NINETY ONE, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS AN ACT CREATING THE MUNICIPALITY OF AL- BARKA IN THE PROVINCE OF BASILAN, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

Be it enacted by the Regional Legislative Assembly in session assembled:

Section 1. Section 1, Article I of MMA Act No. 191 is hereby amended, to read as follows:

"Section 1. Barangays Apil-Apil, Bato-Bato, Bohe-Piang, Bucalao, Cambug, Danapah, Guinanta, Kailih, Kinukutan, Kuhun, Kuhun-Lennuh, Linuan, Macalang, Magcawa, Sangkahan and Lookbisaya are hereby separated from their mother Municipality and constituted into a distinct and independent local unit to be known as the Municipality of Al-Barka in the Province of Basilan.

The territorial jurisdiction of the Municipality shall be the existing metes and bounds of the above barangays as established when it was part of the Municipality of Tipo-Tipo, with boundaries specifically as follows:

Sec. 2. This Act shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
