MUSLIM MINDANAO AUTONOMY ACT NO. 204
Begun and held in Cotabato City, on Monday, the 30th day of October, two thousand six.
AN ACT CREATING THE MUNICIPALITY OF PANDAG IN THE PROVINCE OF MAGUINDANAO, PROVIDING FUNDS THEREFOR, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
Be it enacted by the Regional Assembly in session assembled:
Section 1. - Barangays Malangit, Pandag, Lower Dilag, Upper Dilag, Kayaga, Kayuko, Kabuling and Lipak are hereby separated from the municipality of Buluan and constituted into a regular municipality, to be known as the Municipality of Pandag, which is hereby created, in the province of Maguindanao.
The seat of government shall be Barangay Malangit, which shall also be known hereafter as the poblacion.
Sec. 2. - The territorial jurisdiction of the new municipality of Pandag shall be bounded as follows:

Sec. 3. - Within sixty (60) days after ratification by the majority of the votes cast in the plebiscite supervised and conducted by the Commission on Elections in the affected area of the Municipality of Pandag for the purpose within a period of ninety (90) days after the approval of this set, The Regional Governor shall appoint the Mayor and other officials to hold elective positions in the new Municipality of Pandag until their successors shall have been elected and qualified in a regular election.
Sec. 4. - The new Municipality shall acquire corporate existence upon the appointment and qualification of the first mayor and the majority of the members of the Sangguniang Bayan.
Sec. 5. - The ARMM Local Goverment Code shall govern the local administration in the Municipality. The pertinent provisions of R.A. 7160 shall however apply when necessary as suppletory to this Act.
Sec. 6. - The new municipality shall be entitled to an equitable share of the assets and properties and shall share in the liabilities of the original municipality at the time of its separation.
Sec. 7. - The expenses in holding the plebescite provided in this Act shall be taken out of any available funds of the municipality of Buluan and the province of Maguindanao.
Sec. 8. - Any provision or part of this Act is separable but other provisions or parts hereof that are not affected thereby shall remain valid and legal.
Sec. 9. - All laws, executive orders, rules and regulations, or parts thereof, inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.
Sec. 10. - This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
