Begun and held in Cotabato City, on Monday the seventh day of January, two thousand two.

Lanao del Sur, is hereby revived/restored, as separate and distinct barangay from its mother

barangay according to its original jurisdiction and subject to a plebiscite in the affected areas to be conducted by the Commission on Elections within thirty (30) days from the approval of this Act.

SEC. 2. After ratification of this Act, the Punong Barangay, the Members of the Sangguniang Barangay, and the Sangguniang Kabataan chairman and its members shall be appointed by the municipal mayor of Maguing and shall hold office until their successors shall have been duly elected and qualified in the next regular Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections.

The appointive officials of the aforesaid barangay shall be appointed in accordance with pertinent provisions of the Muslim Mindanao Autonomy Act No. 25, as amended.

SEC. 3. The territorial jurisdiction of the proposal barangay shall be defined by the following technical description, to wit:

SEC. 4. The expenses necessary in holding the plebiscite for the purpose shall be provided by the municipality of Maguing.
