REPUBLIC ACT No. 10960

An Act Creating a Barangay to be Known as Barangay San Isidro in the Municipality of Titay, Province of Zamboanga Sibugay

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1. Creation of Barangay San Isidro. - There is hereby created a barangay to be known as Barangay San Isidro in the Municipality of Titay, Province of Zamboanga Sibugay.

Section 2. Territorial Boundaries. - The territorial boundaries of Barangay San Isidro shall be identified as follows:

Bounded on the Northwest (NW), along line 1-2, by Barangay San Antonio;

On the Northeast (NE), along lines 2-3-4, by Barangay San Antonio; along lines 4-5-6, by Municipality of Ipil versus Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay; along line 6-7, by Municipality of Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay;

On the Southeast (SE), along lines 7-8-9-10, by Municipality of Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay;

On the Southwest (SW), along lines 10-11-12, by Municipality of RT Lim, Zamboanga Sibugay;

On the West (W), along line 12-1 to the point of beginning, by Barangay San Antonio versus Dalisay, all of Titay Municipality.

Containing an area of 17,475,340 square meters, more or less.

Section 3. Conduct and Supervision of Plebiscite. - The plebiscite conducted and supervised by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) pursuant to Provincial Ordinance No: 2002-122 dated August 7, 2002 of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of the Province of Zamboanga Sibugay, which ratified the creation of Barangay San Isidro as proclaimed by the Plebiscite Board of Canvassers on April 16, 2005, shall serve as substantial compliance with the plebiscite requirement under Section 10 of Republic Act No. 7160, as amended, otherwise known as the "Local Government Code of 1991".

Section 4. Incumbent Barangay Officials. - The incumbent barangay officials of Barangay San Isidro shall continue to hold office until such time that their successors have been duly elected and qualified.

Section 5. Public Infrastructure and Facilities. - All public infrastructure and facilities for public use existing therein at the time of the approval of this Act are hereby transferred without cost or compensation to and shall be administered by the new barangay.1âwphi1

Section 6. Internal Revenue Allotment Shares. - Barangay San Isidro shall be entitled to Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) shares pursuant to Section 285 of Republic Act No. 7160, as amended, otherwise known as the "Local Government Code of 1991".

Section 7. Effectivity. - This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was passed by the House of Representatives on March 8, 2017, amended by the Senate on August 14, 2017, and which amendments were concurred in by the House of Representatives on August 30, 2017.
