[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6580, September 30, 1972 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING CENTRAL ILOCOS SUR EMERGENCY HOSPITAL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF NARVACAN, PROVINCE OF ILOCOS SUR, INTO A FIFTY-BED CAPACITY GENERAL HOSPITAL TO BE KNOWN AS JACOB-LAYA GENERAL HOSPITAL, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The Central Ilocos Sur Emergency Hospital in the Municipality of Narvacan, Province of Ilocos Sur, is hereby converted into a general hospital to be known as the Jacob-Laya General Hospital. This hospital shall have a fifty-bed capacity.

Section 2. In addition to the appropriation of said hospital under Republic Act Numbered Three thousand seven hundred and seventy-seven, the sum of one hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the operation and maintenance of said hospital during the fiscal year nineteen hundred seventy-two and nineteen hundred seventy-three.  Thereafter, the said amounts and such sums as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.1âшphi1

Section 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
