[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6455, June 17, 1972 ]

AN ACT FURTHER AMENDING SECTIONS ONE AND TWO OF REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED FORTY-ONE HUNDRED FIFTY-THREE, AS AMENDED, (RE SALARY SCALE FOR OFFICIALS OF THE BUREAU OF PUBLIC HIGHWAYS).

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. Section one of Republic Act Numbered Forty-one hundred fifty-three, as amended, is further amended by amending subparagraph (e) and inserting a new paragraph after subparagraph (h), to read as follows:

"(e) Chief of Section, except non-technical section, under the specialized technical divisions in the central office and field division offices, Assistant District Engineers at twelve thousand six hundred pesos per annum Range 58, and chiefs of sections under the other divisions, in the central office and field division offices, Internal Audit Service, and non-technical sections of specialized technical divisions, at nine thousand six hundred pesos per annum.—range 53;".1âшphi1

"(h) * * * *

"Notwithstanding the salary rates herein provided, the officials and employees herein concerned shall be entitled to all and any future salary adjustments that way be extended by the government."

Section 2. Section two of the same Act, as amended, is further amended to read as follows:

"Section 2. In order to carry out the provisions of this Act for the fiscal year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred seventy-two, the Commissioner of Public Highways is hereby authorized to charge the salaries and salary differentials of the officials whose salaries are herein standardize against the savings on appropriation for current operating expenditures of the Bureau of Public Highways.  Thereafter, the Budget Commissioner shall include in the Annual General Appropriation Acts the standardized and adjusted salaries of the officials and employees specified in this Act."

Section 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 1972.
