PRESIDENTIAL DECREE No. 336 November 14, 1973

AMENDING PART III, ARTICLE IV, SECTIONS 2 AND 5 (G), OF THE INTEGRATED REORGANIZATION PLAN APPROVED UNDER PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1 DATED SEPTEMBER 24, 1972

WHEREAS, there is pressing need to accelerate the program of government for the early attainment of the objectives set forth in the Integrated Reorganization Plan which has been adopted, approved and made part of the law of the land, by virtue of Presidential Decree No. 1, dated September 24, 1972;

WHEREAS, one of the priorities in the Plan is the formation of a pool of selected and development-oriented career administrators who shall provide competent and faithful public service;

WHEREAS, the Development Academy of the Philippines has the capability to render assistance in the preparation, initiation and implementation of a career executive service development program for members of the Career Executive Service, as well as in the formulation and promulgation of rules, standards and procedures on the selection, classification, compensation, training and career development of members of the Career Executive Service provided for in the Plan, as amended.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, Commander-in-Chief of all the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and pursuant to Proclamation No. 1081, dated September 21, 1972, and General Order No. 1 dated September 22, 1972, as amended, do hereby further amend Part III, Article IV, Sections 2 and 5 (g) of the Plan so as to read as follows:

"Sec. 2. A Career Executive Service Board, hereinafter referred to as the Board, is created to serve as the governing body of the Career Executive Service. The Board shall consist of the President of the Development Academy of the Philippines and four other members from both the government and private sectors who are familiar with the principles and methods of personnel administration.

"Sec. 5 (g). Training and Career Development. There shall be a continuing program of training and career development for members of the Career Executive Service. To that end, the Development Academy of the Philippines shall (i) prepare a career executive service program appropriate and necessary for the organization and operation of the Career Executive Service, and (ii) in the consultation with the Career Executive Board, initiate and continue to implement the aforesaid program."
