DECLARING TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 1960, AS COMMONWEALTH DAY, AND DESIGNATING THE PHILIPPINE HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION TO TAKE CHARGE OF ITS CELEBRATION
WHEREAS, the twenty-fifth anniversary of the establishment of the Commonwealth of the Philippines falls on November 15, 1960; and
WHEREAS, it is but proper that such a historic event be observed with appropriate ceremonies;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Carlos P. Garcia, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Tuesday, November 15, 1960, as Commonwealth Day and designate The Philippine Historical Association to take charge of its observance.
