Proclamation No. 383

RESERVING FOR SETTLEMENT PURPOSES A PARCEL OF LAND SITUATED IN THE KORONADAL PLAINS, MUNICIPAL DISTRICTS OF KORONADAL AND BUAYAN, PROVINCE OF COTABATO, ISLAND OF MINDANAO.

Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Agriculture and Commerce and pursuant to the provisions of section eighty-three of Commonwealth Act Numbered One hundred and forty-one, I hereby reserve for settlement purposes, under the administration of the National Land Resettlement Projects Administration, subject to private rights, if any there be, and to future classification and survey, and to the conditions that the timber and other forest products therein, as well as the use and occupancy of the area indicated as timber land or forest reserve, shall be placed under the administration and control of the Bureau of Forestry in accordance with the Forest Law and Regulations, the following-described parcel of the public domain situated in the Koronadal Plains, municipal districts of Koronadal and Buayan, Province of Cotabato, Island of Mindanao, to wit:

Beginning at a point marked "1" on plan, being at the mouth of the Silway River on the Sarangani Bay; thence following the Silway River in a northwesterly direction to point "2" which is at the intersection of the Silway River and the foot of the Roxas Mountain Range; thence following in a northwesterly direction along the foot of the Roxas Mountain Range to point "3" which is at the foot of Tai-manuk Mountain; thence following a straight line in a northeasterly direction to point "4" which is at the foot of the Quezon Mountain Range; thence following the foot of the Quezon Mountain Range in a .southeasterly direction to point "5" which is at the top of Lookout Hill; thence following the foot of the Quezon Mountain Range in a southeasterly direction to point "6" which is at Captain Navarro’s Peak; thence following the foot of the Quezon Mountain Range in a southeasterly direction to point "7" which is at the foot of Nufol Hiill; thence following in a northeasterly direction to point "8" which is the intersection of the foot of Quezon Mountain and Buayan River; thence following the Buayan River in a southwesterly direction to point "9" which is at the mouth of Buayan River in the Sarangani Bay; thence in a westerly direction following the shore line of Sarangani Bay to the point of beginning, which is the intersection of Silway River and Sarangani Bay.

Containing an area of 97,000 hectares.

Bounded on the northeast by Quezon Mountain Range; on the east, by public land; on the south, by Sarangani Bay and public land; on the southwest and west, by Roxas Mountain Range; and on the northwest, by public land.

NOTE.— (This is subject to change to conform with future survey.)
