Proclamation No. 263

GIVING PUBLIC NOTICE OF THE APPROVAL BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF NATIONAL ASSEMBLY ACT NO. 2512 NOW KNOWN AS COMMONWEALTH ACT NO. 253.

In accordance with the provisions of section two of the Act of the National Assembly Numbered Twenty-five hundred and twelve, entitled "An Act amending further paragraph sixty-four of group two, Class IV, of section eight of the Philippines Tariff Act of nineteen hundred and nine, as amended, so as to extend the free entry of woods, barks, roots and similar natural products, for dyeing or tanning," I, Manuel L. Quezon, President of the Philippines, do hereby give public notice of the approval by the President of the United States on February twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight, of said Act as provided in section two, subsection (a), paragraph nine, of the Act of Congress of March twenty-fourth, nineteen hundred and thrity-four.

The National Assembly Act above-mentioned becomes Commonwealth Act Numbered Two hundred fifty-three.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Commonwealth of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done at the City of Manila, this fourth day of March, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight, and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the third.
