MALACAÑAN PALACE Manila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES Proclamation No. 34 ESTABLISHING A WATERSHED FOREST RESERVE IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BALER, PROVINCE OF TAYABAS Upon the recommendation of the Director of Forestry, approved by the Secretary of Agriculture and Commerce, and pursuant to the provisions of section eighteen hundred and twenty-six of Act Numbered Twenty-seven hundred and eleven, known as the Revised Administrative Code, I, Manuel L. Quezon, President of the Philippines, hereby establish a watershed forest reserve in the Municipality of Baler, Province of Tayabas, and place said forest reserve under the administration and control of the Bureau of Forestry, which shall have the authority to regulate the cutting, collection, and removal of timber and other forest products therein in accordance with the Forest Law and regulations, for watershed protection and timber production, subject to private rights, if any there be, and to any all rights and privileges of exploration, occupation, purchase, or otherwise granted or reserved to citizens by provisions of the Act of Congress of July first, nineteen hundred and two, known as the Philippine Bill. I, therefore, withdraw from sale or settlement, except as permitted or provided for in the aforesaid Act of Congress of July first, nineteen hundred and two, and hereby declare and proclaim to be a watershed forest reserve that portion of the public domain, situated in the Municipality of Baler, Province of Tayabas, Island of Luzon, and described in the Bureau of Forestry map F. R.-57, to wit: Beginning at corner marked I on Bureau of Forestry map No. F. R.-57, a concrete monument, identical to corner 2, lot 1, Baler cadastre 185, B. L. case 2, which is S. 87ْ E., about 4,400 meters from the Poblacion, municipality of Baler, Tayabas; thence N. 6ْ E., 260 meters to corner 2, a malapiña tree, 60 cm. diameter, marked F. Z. 226/21, identical to corner 17, block E, alienable and disposable, Tayabas project N. 14; thence N. 79ْ E., 630 meters to corner 3, a baton tree, 60 cm. diameter, marked F. Z. 226/16, identical to corner 18, block E, alienable and disposable, Tayabas project No. 14; thence following the seacoast in a general southeasterly direction about 670 meters to corner 4, a post, 15 cm. diameter, marked F.
