AUTHORITY TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL SUMMIT ON PEACE AND ORDER ON 11-12 APRIL 1996 AT THE REMBRANDT HOTEL, QUEZON CITY

The Department of the Interior and Local Government, particularly the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) is hereby authorized to conduct a National Summit on Peace and Order on 11-12 April 1996. The Summit shall be participated in by jurists, prosecutors, penologists, police administrators, social workers, government leaders, and representatives from the private sector such as the academe, youth, family, media, interfaith, business and non-government organizations.

The overall goal of the Summit is to formulate a National Peace and Order Plan with special focus on organized crimes and transnational terrorism.1aшphi1

The representatives of the law enforcement, prosecution, courts, corrections and other government agencies are hereby authorized to attend the Summit on official time with entitlement to traveling expenses chargeable against the regular allotment of their respective offices, subject to the usual accounting and auditing requirements.

This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.
