EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 469 July 14, 1976

EXTENDING THE TERM OF THE PRESIDENTIAL COMMISSION ON REORGANIZATION CREATED UNDER EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 281, SERIES OF 1970

WHEREAS, the Presidential Commission on Reorganization (PCR) is currently and primarily involved in a comprehensive and in-depth study of government corporations in accordance with Executive Order No. 464 dated April 28, 1976;

WHEREAS, there is a need to provide the Office of the President with continued technical assistance and staff support in the evaluation of reorganization proposals concerning the creation, abolition, expansion or merger of government agencies;

WHEREAS, the PCR is regularly being consulted on reorganization matters by other government agencies and from time to time being assigned to crystallize issues on organizational problems and matters involving multi-sector interests for policy formulation and decision-making; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable for the PCR to continue providing assistance to the Civil Service Commission in its on-going project relative to the performance evaluation of Civil Service employees, and to the Career Executive Service Board in the administration of the career executive service.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby extend the term of the Presidential Commission on Reorganization up to December 31, 1976.

The Presidential Executive Assistant shall issue the necessary directives for the detail or the extension of the detail of such technical personnel as may be needed by the Commission, under the same conditions as prescribed in Executive Order No. 281, as amended.

The Commission is authorized to disburse and defray all expenses for its operations from July 1 to December 31, 1976 from funds as may be available from the Office of the President.
