AMENDING ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 71, DATED JUNE 24, 1938, CREATING AN ADVISORY BODY TO THE NATIONAL RELIEF ADMINISTRATOR

Administrative Order No. 71, dated June 24, 1938, creating an Advisory Body to the National Relief Administrator, is hereby amended to read as follows:

“In order to carry out more effectively the purposes of Executive Order No. 139, creating a National Relief Administration and to aid the National Relief Administrator in the study of problems arising from unemployment, an Advisory Body on Unemployment is hereby constituted and created to be composed of the following:

The National Relief Administrator, Chairman

The Under Secretary of Public Works and Communications, Member

The Under Secretary of Agriculture and Commerce, Member

The Under Secretary of Labor, Member

The Assistant Secretary to the President, Member

The Executive Secretary of the Associated Charities of Manila, Member

Three members representing labor

“The Advisory Body shall advise the National Relief Administrator from time to time as to the unemployment situation with a view to reducing unemployment and to aiding those in need of help in public works projects and other works carried out by any branch or agency of the Government.”
