ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 09 October 15, 1991

RE: AMENDING SECTION 7 (A), RULE II OF ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 07

Pursuant to the authority vested in the Office of the Ombudsman under Sections 18, 23 and 27 of Republic Act No. 6770, otherwise known as "The Ombudsman Act of 1989," in order to avoid or minimize the delay resulting from the implementation of the existing rule on the filing of motions for reconsideration/reinvestigation against resolutions or orders issued by the Office of the Ombudsman, and to provide a period for filing such motions consistent with the provision of Section 27 of Republic Act No. 6770, Section 7 (a), Rule II of Administrative Order No. 07, prescribing the Rules of Procedure of the Office of the Ombudsman, is hereby amended to read as follows:

Sec. 7. MOTION FOR RECONSIDERATION.

(a) Only one motion for reconsideration or reinvestigation of an approved order or resolution shall be allowed, the same to be filed with the Office of the Ombudsman, or of the Deputy Ombudsman as the case may be, within an inextendible period of five (5) days from notice thereof.

This Administrative Order shall take effect after fifteen (15) days from its publication in three newspapers of general circulation in the Philippines, one of which is printed in the national language.
